| "After see some good comments from other users, I decided to give it a try. Got my sample of SCC Slick Chail Lube a week ago, perfect time to try it for Fig Fog 65, a 65 mile mtb race in Cherokee National Park in Tennessee. Was able to clean and apply a SCC two days before the race, followed the instructions for application, nothing new since I regularly maintain my bike after each ride. On the day of the event did my routine checks, the chain looked slick clean with a nice coat applied two days prior. Race started at 8:00 am going through all kinds of terrain, dry, wet some areas with mud and some pot holes, up and down lond stretches of gravel, all conditions imegeble in a long race like that one. By my surprise no wear sounds out of my chain, the shifting was on point and smooth. Wanted to mention that during the race I pass and being passed by other racers and I could hear their chain making all kinds of sounds and I said that is not mine. Anyway successfully finished the race with no mechanicals and the chain looked like it never was used, appeared like my chain have a shield, I was really surprised I clean it looks after I clean it didn't notice any difference. Well so far I can say the SCC passed a big test for my first use. Good maintenance is important and with a product like this one that facilitates this one less thing to worry a about. And Yes I recommend SCC Slick" |

| "I have been on this lube for a full season. The majority of it being in dry/dusty conditions on the mountainbike. What I have found is that the lubricity lasts longer than the previous chain lubes in dry conditions. I initially started using too much as I am used to lower quality lube and needing to apply every ride. This is a premium lube that lasts longer and longer the more you apply it in small amounts. Overall, I use much less of this and experience much better performance compared to other products. I have used this in muddy wet conditions and long/wet road rides and am equally impressed in those conditions. The reason I will continue to use this lube is simple. It works better. Its like a cold Colorado IPA compared to a warm PBR. Its a no-brainer!" |
